Interesting that cork bark can only be harvested once every 9 years and the cork oak is the only tree that can survive having most of its bark ripped off.

I'd recognize this dude anywhere. He hits a golf ball a mile, has a lot of game and is a damned decent sort. Can't wait to visit S & S and check out the 'rents and sibs. If genetic theory has any basis in fact, I expect they're a pretty fine lot. See you all soon, in fact St Patty's Day.

I recently visited sarloos&sons for a bridal weekend in santa barbara.our visit to the sarloos&sons house was by far the highlight of our trip. there is such a rich history and family heritage that goes into each bottle of wine. you pay for wine tasting but you receive an incredible depiction of life and the journey in attaining the “american dream”. not to forget some pretty amazing cupcakes to pair with our wine. outside of the building, hangs a sign that reads “house” I really didn’t find a connection until I took my first step on the porch. we were quickly greeted with a welcoming smile by the cupcake king, kevin ;) who deliciously took us through the menu list of cupcakes available. after mesmerizing over the decadent cupcake we were escorted to the cozy tasting room. to our surprise, brad…the “son” in sarloos&sons was our sommelier. during the tasting we laughed, we cried, and we drank wine! if I could make one suggestion to the sarloos family, it would be to change the sign outside to “home”. I felt like a welcomed guest in their home. Everyone I encountered was hospitable, unlike any other winery I have visited. It has been three days since I entered your “home” and I can not stop bragging about it to family and friends. I look forward to visiting soon...
